集美大学极地与海洋研究院秉持开放理念，注重国内外的学术合作与交流。与美国、英国、韩国等国家以及国内的一流高校和研究机构保持友好的合作关系，并取得丰硕的成果。值得一提的是海洋酸化的研究成果受到国内外媒体的关注和公开报道，包括美国华盛顿邮报、北极新闻网、中国日报网（英文版）等，并在外交部的中国驻美使馆“开放日”活动展出。此外，研究院成员重视学术交流，多次参加国内外会议、研讨会等并作口头汇报，探讨学术问题。以上种种，彰显了研究院在国内外的影响力。

The Polar and Marine Research Institute (PMRI) of Jimei University is open-minded to international and domestic collaboration and communication. It maintains friendly collaboration with high-level universities and research institutes at home and abroad (e.g., United States, Britain, and South Korea). According to the collaboration, fruitful research results were achieved. It is worth noting that the research results of ocean acidification attracted the attention of the media and were reported by The Washington Post, Arctic Now, China Daily, etc. Moreover, the research results were exhibited in “open day” activity held by the Chinese Embassy in the United States. Finally, the researchers in the PMRI are positive to communication and have attended and given oral presentations in multiple academic meetings, workshops and so on. All mentioned above have demonstrated the international and domestic influence of PMRI.

Multidisciplinary drift observation of Arctic climate

北极气候多学科漂流观测计划应运而生，该项目共有19个国家，300名科学家参与，执行为期一年的多学科综合漂流科学观测。

The Arctic Climate Multidisciplinary Drift Observation Program has a total of 19 countries with 300 scientists participating in the implementation of a one-year multidisciplinary comprehensive scientific drift observation.
