响应国家战略需求的海洋酸化问题已从科学研究领域上升到国家政治高度，成为环境外交谈判的重点问题之一；北极海洋酸化研究将纳入国家三极计划。

Ocean acidification has become one of the key issues in environmental diplomacy negotiations. Arctic Ocean Acidification research will be incorporated into the national three pole plan.

exhibited in “open day” activity held by the Chinese Embassy in the United States

2019年5月4日，中国驻美大使馆在华盛顿举办公众开放日活动。中美科技合作展中精选了40年来40个中美双边重大科技合作成果。“中美合作海洋酸化和碳循环观测研究”项目以极地领域唯一入选作为中美科技重要合作成果于外交部在中国驻美使馆“开放日”活动中展出，提升了国际合作共同实施碳减排应对气候变化和海洋生态系统的重要性。

The “Open day” activity was held in Washington by the Chinese Embassy in the United States on May 4, 2019. The exhibition of the China-US science and technology cooperation selected 40 major achievements in the past 40 years. The project of “China-US research on ocean acidification and carbon cycle” was selected as the most representative one among the projects in the polar field. Its findings were exhibited in “open day” activity, which improved the importance of reduction of carbon emission to cope with climate change and marine ecosystem.

中美双方围绕北冰洋海洋酸化与碳汇这一国际前沿热点科学问题，开展合作研究，2010年联合发布Science文章，2017年联合发表Nature Climate Change文章

Researchers from China and the United States carried out cooperative investigation on the international frontier issues — arctic ocean acidification and carbon cycle. They jointly published articles in Science (2010) and Nature Climate Change (2017).
